May Cause Miracles

Picture

The world needs hope.
Maybe YOU need hope.
I know I did.

Hope is something that I have had to actively and intentionally cultivate as I walk through a healing journey with breast cancer. Hope is an oxygen mask and a lifeline. I learned early on in my journey, that if I wanted to "have" hope, then I would need to search for it, hold it, and, more often times than not -
I had to create it.

I believe we underestimate this little word - hope - and I know first hand that it is often in short supply when needed the most. Life is full of difficult moments and stories. Stories and circumstances that can bring us to our knees and knock the wind out of our Spirit. What I have learned from my journey with cancer, is that not only is life fragile, but in our darkest moments - those four little letters - hope - can not only move mountains, but can heal bodies, souls, lives, can open up faith and can make way for us to hold on to the possibilities of pure raw miracles.

Love may be the purpose of this life,
but hope is most certainly the oxygen that sustains it.
And when we are just about out of breathe and circumstances feel insurmountable and our spirit is exhausted - HOPE - becomes the miracle that gets us through to the next moment and sometimes -
that's all we need.

I learned in my dance with cancer,
that fear is contagious.
But so - my dear friend - is HOPE!
May we infect our lives and our world!

May we offer hope, cultivate hope, and hold space for the miraculous.
